About the Opportunity

MDS is seeking to employ two Fixed Term Service Coordinators for our Centre Based Day Programs. One position will oversee our Miller and Mount Pritchard Day Programs. The other position will oversee our Edward House (Camden) and Macquarie Fields Day Programs. These positions oversee direct service provision to participants in all areas of daily living. The roles coordinate and manage the staff and resources necessary to meet operational outcomes.

Key Responsibilities for these positions include:

  • Lead and supervise 2 teams
  • Coordinate delivery of complex disability service
  • Monitor and meet agenda targets for budgets and service quality outcomes
  • Meet risk management and quality assurance requirements

The successful applicants will have:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification and/or equivalent experience (Certificate IV or above)
  • Experience working with people with a disability (including experience with behaviours of concern)
  • Knowledge and understanding of the NDIS
  • Experience in leading, supervising and managing day to day operations of a team, including rostering of staff
  • Strong capacity to work with challenging issues, at both the client and service delivery levels
  • Demonstrated experience in communication, documentation and reporting requirements in a disability service setting (or similar)
  • Senior First Aid
  • Current Drivers Licence and access to a motor vehicle

The Positions are 76 hours per fortnight on a fixed term contract for 12 months. This role is covered under the SCHCADS Award as a Level 5 classification ($38.01 - $40.00). Also offered is salary packaging, time off in lieu, mobile phone and leave loading.
