About the Opportunity
MDS is seeking expressions of interest for permanent part time and ongoing Casual Support Worker shifts. These roles are available at the various MDS Day Programs (including Camden, Leumeah, Bradbury, Prestons, Campbelltown and Tahmoor). Positions work under minimal supervision and involves assisting people with daily living skills and community inclusion and participation activities.
The successful applicant will have:
- Current HLTAID003 Provide First Aid qualification
- HLTAID001 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation current within 12 months
- Positive feedback on past performance in your Support Worker role
- Ability to obtain a Light Rigid Licence within 3 months of commencement (for permanent)
The roles available include:
Permanent Support Worker
1. Prestons - 65 hours per fortnight - 9:00am - 3:30pm
2. Jacaranda - 52 hours per fortnight - 8:45am - 3:15pm Mon, Tues, Wed and Thursday
3. Leumeah - 48 hours per fortnight - 9am - 3pm Mon, Tues, Thurs and Friday
Ongoing Casual Shifts
4. John Street Camden - Monday, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays 9am-2pm
5. John Street Camden - Friday Fortnightly 10am-1pm (swimming program)
6. John Street Camden - Monday 10am-2pm
7. Tahmoor - Tuesdays and Fridays 9am-3pm
These roles are covered under the SCHCADS award level 2 ($30.46 - $33.23 per hour base rate). Additional loading applies for Casual support workers. Permanent roles offer salary packaging, sick leave, annual leave and leave loading.
It is important to note that the casual shifts on offer are not permanent, and may change in the future based on the needs of participants.
