About the Opportunity

MDS is seeking to employ a Service Coordinator for two of our Centre Based Day Programs located in Campbelltown and Camden. This position oversees direct service provision to participants in all areas of daily living. The role will coordinate and manage the staff and resources necessary to meet operational outcomes.

Key Responsibilities for this position include:

  • Lead and supervise a team of support workers located across two sites
  • Coordinate delivery of complex disability service
  • Monitor and meet agenda targets for budgets and service quality outcomes
  • Meet risk management and quality assurance requirements

The successful applicant will have:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification and/or equivalent experience (Certificate IV or above in Disability, Management etc)
  • Experience working with people with a disability, including supporting participants with Higher Support needs (including understanding and management of medical needs and  behavioural support)
  • Proven ability to identify and manage risk in the provision of support to people with a disability, including their medical or behavioural support needs
  • Knowledge and understanding of the NDIS
  • Experience in leading, supervising and managing day to day operations of a team, including rostering of staff
  • Strong capacity to work with challenging issues, at both the client and service delivery levels
  • Demonstrated experience in communication, documentation and reporting requirements in a disability service setting (or similar)
  • HLTAID011 Provide First Aid (current within 3 years) and HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (current within 12 months)
  • NDIS Worker Clearance
  • Working with Children Check
  • Current NSW Drivers Licence and access to a motor vehicle
  • Current Covid-19 Vaccination (2 x doses)

Desirable - A light rigid driver's licence

The Position is permanent full time, 76 hours per fortnight. This role is part of the On Call roster system and requires you to complete 4 weeks of on call duties per calendar year (an on call allowance is provided). This role is covered under the SCHCADS Award as a Level 5 classification ($47.50-$49.65 per hr). Also offered is salary packaging, time off in lieu, mobile phone and leave loading.
