About the Opportunity

MDS is seeking to employ 2 Permanent Part Time Support Workers who have worked with participants with complex behaviours that can escalate, in our Day Program operating within the Campbelltown Community.  These positions are required to provide direct support and work in partnership with participants in the areas of recreation, communication, community participation and social interaction.

Key Responsibilities for this position include:

• Supporting people with a disability in achieving life learning, recreation, employment and educational goals and aspirations
• Engage with people with complex care needs, including lived experience of mental illness, to support achievement and encourage further independence
• Provide personal care, living skills, transport, other services and support

The successful applicant will have:

• HLTAID003 Provide First Aid Qualification - current within 3 years
• HLTAID001 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation - current within 12 months
• NSW Driver's Licence (P1 or above)
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Covid – 19 Vaccination (2 x shots)
• Experience working with people with a disability
• Experience working with people who have a lived experience of mental illness

These positions are permanent part time, the hours of work are, 8:30am to 3pm Monday to Friday. (additional hours available as the arise)

These positions are covered under the SCHCADS Award Level 2 ($33.41-$36.46). Also offered is salary packaging. A copy of the position description can be found here
