If this is you - MDS is seeking to employ experienced High Risk Behaviour Support Workers for our Warby Street Community Based Program in Campbelltown. These positions are responsible for supporting people with a disability with community inclusion and participation activities. These roles would be well suited to someone who has experience working with individuals with complex needs who display Behaviours of concern and are passionate about supporting others.
This job will entail:
- Being based at an MDS Campbelltown site, supporting people with a disability that display behaviours of concern 1:1 in the community
- Supporting people with a disability to achieve social engagement, inclusion in local community, recreation and individual goal achievement
- Engage with people with complex care needs, including behaviour support, to those who display behaviours such as Physical and Verbal Aggression
- Provide personal care, living skills, transport, other services and support.
- Being supported by a dedicated and experienced team, providing training and support opportunities
The successful applicant will have:
- HLTAID011 Provide First Aid Qualification - current within 3 years
- HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation - current within 12 months
- NSW Driver's Licence (P1 or above)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Children Check (willing to obtain within 1 month of commencement)
- Capacity to drive company vans
- Experience and desire to support individuals that display behaviours of concern
- Experience and understanding of restrictive practice
- Desirable: Training in Administration of Midazolam
We have a number of positions available. Positions are permanent part time for 65 hours per fortnight (Mon-Fri 8:30am-3pm) community based commencing from Campbelltown. These roles are covered under the SCHCADS Award Level 2 ($33.41 - $36.46 per hour). Also offered is Sick leave, Annual leave, leave loading, First aid allowance and Salary Packaging.
