About the Opportunity

MDS has exciting opportunities for a experienced and motivated disability support worker in our Residential Support programs in the Liverpool region. This role supports people with a disability in their own home or in an Accommodation service. Programs are staffed 24/7 and includes working weekends, public holidays, sleepovers and active night shifts. 

This is a rewarding role suited to someone who is passionate about supporting and achieving positive outcomes for others.

Key responsibilities 

  • Supporting people with a disability to live independently, 
  • Engage with people with complex care needs to support achievement and encourage independence
  • Provide personal care, living skills, transport, other services and support.
  • Supporting people in their own home to live independently
  • Weekend/Weekday/Sleepover and Awake Shifts

The successful applicant will have:

  • HLTAID003 Provide First Aid Qualification - current within 3 years
  • HLTAID001 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation - current within 12 months
  • NDIS Worker Clearance
  • NSW Driver's Licence (P1 or above)
  • Access to a reliable vehicle
  • A passion for supporting others

These positions are casual working on a roster that includes weekends, public holidays, sleepovers and active night shifts. Permanent positions may also be available for the right candidate. These programs are located in Macquarie Fields and Prestons, but MDS Programs span across the Macarthur, Liverpool and Wingecarribee regions with additional hours available. This role is covered under the SCHCADS Award Level 2 ($43.23-$47.16 per hour for Casual). A copy of the position description can be found here
