About the Opportunity

MDS is seeking to grow our Allied Health Teams in the roles of:

  • Occupational Therapists - Full Time/Part Time/Casual or Contractor 
  • Behaviour Support Practitioners - Contractor

The Allied Health team at MDS offers Qualified OT's and BISS Practitioners at any stage of their career journey with flexible workplace options in work hours, locations and an ongoing commitment to extensive professional development.

Key Responsibilities for this Occupational Therapists include:

  • Conduct Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention to support participants in maintaining, or improving, functional abilities and independence.
  • Develop individualised care plans that reflect participants goals as per their NDIS funding
  • Undertake accurate and timely documentation and communication, including clinical notes, reports, responding to inquiries and the NDIA.
  • Undertake professional development activities to maintain and enhance skills

Key Responsibilities for Behaviour Support Practitioners include:

  • Behaviour support plans are developed and reviewed, assessments are completed 
  • Facilitate case meetings and case conferences as required
  • Provide implementation and training of behaviour support plans to all relevant stakeholders

The successful applicant will have:

  • Higher education tertiary qualification in relevant field
  • Registration with AHPRA/Behaviour Support Practitioner ID
  • Knowledge of the concepts and principles of Evidence based practice and positive behaviour support
  • Understanding of the NDIS and the service delivery model
  • Current Drivers License and access to a reliable motor vehicle.
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Clearance

Desirable:

  • Experience working with children and adults with a disability / mental health and from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds

Positions available include fulltime, part time, casual or Contractor at varying hours. Employed roles are covered under the SCHCADS Award Level 5 classification (Permanent rates $51.00 - $53.31 per-hour). Work can be completed from MDS Head Office in Campbelltown, Prestons Office, visiting clients in the community and working from home.
