About the Opportunity
This role is open to internal applicants and is an excellent opportunity to develop skills required in a manager’s position. This position will reflect that of a Regional Manager, and is responsible for managing the daily operation of Community Participation programs within an allocated region.
Higher duty positions are considered a development opportunity for staff to learn new skills and gain experience. If you are applying to this role from a different MDS department, you will need to seek approval from your General Manager
Key Responsibilities for this position include:
- Manage intake, transition and establishment of new participants across CIS sites
- Manage the performance of the team at MDS including performance management and recruitment/selection
- Review operational reports, track outcomes and report back on operational progress
- Develop Project Plans and execute
- Maintain and develop relationships with key stakeholders
The successful applicant will have:
- Frontline Management experience
- Knowledge of computer software including Excel, Word & PowerPoint, Alayacare and Connx
- Experience working with people with disabilities with broad range of support needs.
- Experience managing the performance of a multi-disciplinary team including dealing with people issues that have been escalated
- Working with external partners on client delivery matters
- Monitoring operational reports for projects and service offers.
- Project and time management.
- Desirable Criteria: Tertiary qualifications Disability, Social Science or related discipline at Diploma level or above
The Position is Full time, covered under the SCHADS award Level 7 ($60.27-$62.79 per hr). Primarily based in Campbelltown, with requirement to work from other MDS sites as required and the opportunity for some remote work as approved.
