About the Opportunity
The HR Business Partner Generalist reports to the General Manager of People, Quality and Culture. The position completes the functions of Human Resources and Return to Work, partnering with MDS People Leaders to design and implement workable HR, People and Culture solutions that are practical, business focused and aligned to the strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities for this position include:
- Partnering with our People leaders to design and implement workable people and Culture solutions aligned to the MDS Strategic objectives
- Develop strategies and help implement actions to enhance our people
- Trusted advisor providing expert advice and support on a broad spectrum of activities including performance management, employee relations, industrial relations, workforce planning, succession planning, talent management and change management.
- Oversight of recruitment, onboarding and offboarding, Return to work, Learning and development, and rostering operations
- Act as a change agent and assist our people leaders to lead and facilitate change.
- Experience managing staff and a HR Admin Officer
The successful applicant will have:
- Tertiary qualification (Diploma or above) in Business, Human Resources or a related discipline
- Minimum 3 – 5 years at the HR Business Partner level
- Award interpretation experience
- Sound experience resolving complex and diverse employee relations matters
- Sound knowledge of workplace and employment related legislation and regulation, policy and practice
- Experience undertaking investigations, working with unions and the Fair Work commission
- Management of Workers compensation claims, working with insurers, medical practitioners and specialists
- Demonstrated personal integrity and ability to deal with sensitive / confidential issues with discretion, building strong relationships through collaboration and influential stakeholder management
- Drivers licence. The role will be required to support and promote people and culture initiatives through proactive engagement with employees and managers across our locations
- Willing to obtain a National Criminal History Check, NDIS Worker Clearance and Working with Children Check.
Located in Campbelltown, this Position is Permanent Full Time 76 hours per fortnight. This role is covered under the SCHADS Award as a Level 6 ($55.72-$58.19 per hr). Also offered is a 9 day fortnight, opportunity to work from home up to 2 days per week, salary packaging, flexible working hours, Laptop, Mobile and leave loading.
