About the Opportunity

Macarthur Disability Services is seeking a detail‑focused Payroll Officer to join our Finance team on a part‑time basis. Reporting to the General Manager Finance, this role is responsible for the accurate, timely and compliant processing of end‑to‑end payroll.

This is a hands‑on operational role with a strong focus on compliance, Award interpretation, and employee support. Limited accounts payable/receivable assistance is provided in a relief capacity only.

Key Responsibilities for this position include:

  • Process end‑to‑end payroll accurately and on time
  • Prepare payroll journals, reconciliations, adjustments and back pays
  • Lodge STP, PAYG, superannuation and other statutory obligations
  • Maintain leave accruals including annual leave, personal leave, long service leave and parental leave
  • Process new starters, terminations and employee payroll changes
  • Administer superannuation, salary packaging and Child Support deductions
  • Respond to payroll enquiries and maintain confidential payroll records
  • Support audits, reporting and continuous improvement activities

The successful applicant will have:

  • Experience in an end‑to‑end payroll role
  • Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and compliance
  • Award interpretation experience (SCHADS highly regarded)
  • High attention to detail and strong reconciliation skills
  • Ability to manage deadlines and handle confidential information
  • Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach
  • Experience with payroll systems and Microsoft Excel is desirable.

This position is located in Campbelltown. Remuneration will be in line with experience and/or qualifications.
