About the Opportunity

MDS is seeking to employ a fixed term Human Resources (HR) and Return to Work (RTW) Coordinator. Reporting to the General Manager of People, Quality and Culture, this position provides advice and assistance to management and staff on HR, RTW and employment related issues.   

Key Responsibilities for this position include:

  • Support MDS management in all facets of HR including recruitment / selection, performance management, employee relations and Return to Work
  • Coordinate and administer the HRIS (Connx)
  • Provide case management support for the MDS Return to Work program
  • Supervision of the HR officer duties
  • Support the front desk operations as required

The successful applicant will have:

  • Tertiary qualification in relevant discipline (Certificate 4 or above).
  • Demonstrated high quality and comprehensive administrative skills preferably from within a Human Resources related role and / or the community sector.
  • Demonstrated computer skills in a Microsoft environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint and Access)
  • Demonstrated experience in industrial instrument (award) and employment law interpretation
  • RTW Coordination certificate and experience coordinating return to work programs
  • Demonstrated personal integrity and ability to deal with sensitive / confidential issues with discretion

Located in Campbelltown, this Position is Full time on a 12 month Fixed term contract until March 2020. This role is covered under the SCHADS Award as a Level 5 ($38.01 - $40.00 per hr). Also offered is salary packaging, flexible working hours and leave loading.
